I have recently bought a Lancer CE gli 1.8L 2000, it already has 16' rims, sprots exhaust, sports suspension, dark tint, and a full alpine sound system with sub and amp. I saved a bit of money buying this car and want to spend the rest on engine mods. can someone give me a list of the essential parts i can start with. I have $1000ish to work with. I was thinking cold air intake setup, extractors and maybe iridium plugs and leads?

i recomend an underdrive pully, as they are a great bang for buck mod, giving better use of aircon without it sapping as mich power, along with some great low end power gains and slightly better fuel economy

obviously ur cold air intake is fairly self explanatory from that link

extractors... either go for RPW ones, or give "henry" a PM he can sort u out with some good stuff for a decent price

would also recomend some strutbarces for better handling, and a "whiteline rear swaybar"

that will give u a very fun car to drive and it will handle well aswell which comes in handy with the speed
would also consider doing a GSR brake upgrade ~$400 if u do all the labour yourself with parts supplied by Henry, as braking is also very important to upgrade as the stock brakes are a bit rubish IMO


that should keep u busy, and have plenty of info
also post up a ride thread with some pics and introduce yourself a bit more in the "memebers rides" sub-forum

Spend 30min or hour or more reading some threads instead of joining then 20min posting a useless thread. There is a stickered topic in this CE area up the top which is the basic performance guide for 1.5/1.8.

* Theres so many CE lancers on here have a look through the members rides that should keep you busy for a bit.
