Turbo Mirage 1.9LT

My wheel saga continues.
I called the wheel shop that I dropped my original wheels I wanted for the Mirage.
It's been 6 months since I dropped them off. Guy said "they lost the job sheet" yet happened to find it while on call.

I did pick up 2 new wheels for the car, pending pickup Monday from another shop.

Thanks man.

Swap was easy for me only because I have done it SO MANY TIMES lol
It's second nature. Although still can be a PITA for some things
Full swap from my coupe moving EVEYTHING over was the worse and never want to do it again. I worked alot of late nights.
Got it done quick as I didn't want to shells in my garage and my Magna parked on the side so I needed the coupe stripped asap.
P.s. how did you know about my kitchen sink :flushed:
Okok that's fair, you did make it look easy but cheers for being realistic!

Quick question on the fuel tank/pump (my pump is whining). Is it just 1) let it drain out 2) zip bolts out 3) disconnect any hoses 4) drop tank 5) bobs your uncle. Or is there smth specific to look out for on the CEs?

And new no-name users know everything.... ....

Big update
Did a bunch on servicing stuff on the car
New oil, new fuel filter/oil filter, new rocker cover gasket, fixed up the oil leak on the sandwich plate.
And for the biggest news (drum roll) only been 6 months and what I wanted originally.....
.....
.....

NEW WHEELS!

No more cheap speedy crap
Genuine Nissan R32 GTR wheels on the front and genuine Nissan R32 GTS-T wheels on the rear
GTST wheels are 6.5" running road tyres 205/45
GTR wheels are 8" running Falken semi slicks at 215/45
Currently all have no paint. Been stripped off. I really love the raw look. But might go silver as they have some imperfections
Thanks to @02lncr.justin for dropping the GTR wheels for machining. His shop had it done in less than an hour
*top bloke*s (not top bloke by the way) at the shop that had the GTST wheels took 6 months
Very happy with the new Nissan wheels. Looks nice IMO

I finally rewrapped the dump pipe, front pipe, and reseated the turbo blanket, and made a new actuator for the wastegate as the other one was very oddly placed
Rewelded a new bung for the wideband closer to the turbo. Got a front exit exhaust on a cutoff now. So I have a quiet and LOUD option for the exhaust on a switch, works instantly.
Engine bay pic
I rerouted the oil feed line for the turbo. Comes around the block following the coolant lines now, rather than up around the AC bracket and where the PS pump used to be.
I am very happy with it, I think I'm happy with the setup. No oil leaks now. I think I need to work on heat management though. It gets VERY hot. Oil sat at 100c just driving without doing any hard stuff today.

Nothing to big of an update
Painted the GTR wheels, they have a really nice metallic shine to them. Not the best job but looks nicer than what they were before.

Went to Calder park last week.
Was fun, but my times were *poo*. Only good one was 13.6, the new tyres are different than the AR1s, rest of the runs were *poo*. I kept getting thrown around launching and miss 2nd gear.

Engine bay pic. Some heat shielding between turbo and engine block, some on the bonnet also. Worst part of the top mount, is EVERYTHING gets hot lol
