Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows where to get used retreaded tires from in the Western Sydney area, for 17z..

you can buy cheapie tyres for $102 a corner and remoulds would cost you nearly $75 or more anyway...

Just a thought!
 
Mate dont mess round with retreads they are very bad. Go get yourself a set of Yokohama A drive R1's, Cheap with good performance.
 
dont make retreads for low profile tyres mate too dangerous.

Retreads are very dangerous full stop i had them when i bought my last car and they lasted 15 mins drove to tyre shop straight from yard.
 
Hmmm thanks guyz... Will tbh I just need tires where the oil has worn off.. Coz U know how wen U get brand new tires, comes oiled up and dat.. For me to get them re-walled yellow It cant have ANY oil on the tire orelse the paint turns black in just a couple of dayz..
 
Aye its not lyk im stupid enough to rebuy bald tires.. Im just saying if theirs a way of getting tyres with no oil applied to it, id rather have it that way..
 
Why dont you just use some degreaser or something to remove the oil on the new tyres?
 
Itz only the front right tire which was new, coz the oil mixes in with the paint over time.. Unless I wipe it down with metho or paint thiner but that'd bring it down to the base coat, removing all the paint layers.. When I had them put on, the guy said each tyre had needed 5000kz driven on them in order to remove the oil.. But now that their getn bald I just wana replace them..
 
Dude, your spelling makes me want to slap you in the face. Repeatedly. Dont be an ass about the topic. Tires are one of the biggest safety aspects of your car. Dont get retreaded tires, or your car will end up wrapped around a pole like my friends car. Listen to what more experienced people suggest for you. And Im sure google has some information about how to remove the oil from new tires.

On a side note: I know we have a CAPTCHA to prevent bots and the like from spamming the forums, but is it possible to get a retard-captcha?

Im being an ass about the topic..? Im asking nicely on what I should do about my tires, and here youz are making front of my spelling.. Who gives a *fudge* on how I spell, do you not understand what is written.. How about you answer the question nicely or get the *fudge* off the forum, I dnt need to be told how to spell, all I wanted were some answers.. Did you understand that..?
 
Could we all just spell correctly, using Australian English... I tire of TIRE and would prefer TYRE (which by the way is we all spell round here)!

FWIW, retreads are marginally worse than remoulds (which at least have the additional safety of being wrapped over the sidewall).

Additionally... remoulds should only be used by trucks...and we all see their carcasses on the road, everywhere (least they have 17 other tyres to keep them on the road.
