Hey guys, just wondering on yur thoughts bout carbon wrapping..
I was thinkin bout get my hood done in the style of SYK-RYD'z hood, give it that nice look maybe and also protect the paint..

So wat do yous think..?..

my mate did a heap of carbon wrap on his integra. and to be fair we grabbed a heap of the different brands the best out there is m3. if u ain't gunna use that it sure as hell aint worth it

i hav wrapped some parts of my car, but i am a big fiend for man sausage lol

but seriously, i hav done my dash/door pillars but to cover blemishes.

doing your bonnet/ goin over the top is a bit ricer but if want to, go for it. just be prepared for a hater battle

will attract cops ( and they will find a fiberglass bonnet which is still illegal)... my vote is a no for illegality

lol broo if you think bout copaz can defect us for anything aftermarket in our cars, so prety much every car on this forum is illegal.. If you dont act like a hoon, they dont act against U..

i get the feeling if they see a CF bonnet, hooning or not they will still check it out

The best stuff by far is 3M Di Noc. It comes in various colours but is 3D and is easy to apply, you don't get bubbles forming under due to the 3D nature of the printing...

I have a bit of it, covering all the painted silver trim on the dash and front door moldings.... I like it, others don't.

Why not skin it in CF instead? The cost works out to be around the same give or take $50 if you know where to look and end result is one is real and the other is fake. You pay what around $250 for the fake CF wrap vinyl? You can skin it for similar price.

If you do go for the fake stuff; dont ever get real CF as it will stand out like dogs balls. Real CF has effects in it that the fake stuff cant copy. It is pretty easy to tell apart CF and the fake sticker stuff in person. In pictures its easier to fool people but in person one does look fake compared to the other.

One way is reversible, the other quite permanently ruins your paint.. If you get the fake stuff wrong, you can reheat it and try again...ruin the real stuff and you're out big coin...

Not everyone is up to the task of laying real CF and if the tolerances are tight, the extra thickness can mean stuff fitting or not...

Glad it worked for you tjoz, but there is nothing inherently wrong with the 3M stuff, except it's an effect, not real CF.

Personally, I think it looks good on interior small trim items, but wrapping a whole roof or bonnet, looks crap...

If you're going to add even more weight to your car, make it stereo components. CF and resin over steel, joke.
