Spring compatibility

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if a set of springs (King SL/Lovell L) from a coupe would fit a sedan?

Cheers.

im think the backs do but the fronts require some attention... maybe wrong though

im 90% sure they are the same for both
just dont get evo springs they wont fit

i cant see why not, the front and rear suspension mounting setup on coupes and sedans are the same

$85 vs. $1.2k

$1.2k uses quality
It's super effective!

$85 uses inexpensive
Critical hit!

$85 wins.

but in a year when you have a proper job you will throw away the $85 springs & the $60 for the wheel aligmnt & go coilovers when that money could go towards oh idk driving lessons :shifty:

yeh ur shocks will wear down if u get springs, especially superlows will wear them even faster (but atleast they look awsome)
your shocks will last a year or so after u put springs in then they will be saggy shocks which fail

you can replace your shocks with one the suit, supper lows, so they don't fail.

yeh but arnt they leik $500 for a set of good shocks for lowered cars?
adding that to the cost of the springs say $200, then your getting close to the cost of coilovers anyways

i guess if u wnat to spend the money over time then springs are an ok option

 Dont factor wheel allignment in, every car should be getting it done once a year or so....

Personally I have to do it within every 6 months due to the coilovers bumping everything out of allignment. But I also rotate my tyres every 6 months aswell to keep the wear even....

KING SPRINGS LOW
Mirage CE - (Front) KCFL-45 (Rear) KCRL-46
Lancer CE (Sedan/Coupe) - (Front) KCFL-36 (Rear) KCRL-46

LOVELL (SPORTS LOW)
Lancer CE,CE2 (Sedan/Hatch) - (Front) CFL-50 (Rear) CRL-51

i have a set of superlows sitting right here

rear code is exactly as ellegt posted.
fronts i dunno coz i already gave them to a mate.

...Now G, all you gotta do is make a decision on what you want to do!! I went with just lowered springs and matching shocks in my lancer. But its so true, once you do that you're only a couple a hundred away from coilovers!

I did have a set of king springs that would have fitted in your lancer... but gave them back to my bf for his new coupe >_<
