Spot light/driving light wiring

Hi everyone, I have just picked up a set of spot lights for the front of my CC, as I do alot of long sistance night driving.
What I need to know, is the lancer high beam positive switching, or switches to earth? And also, if anyone could tell me which wire to tap off of on the combination switch, for high beam to run to a switch.

Hi,

CCs use a common 12V between high and low beams, and the earth switchs between them.

When I ran auxiliary lights on my wagon, i just tapped off a wire going into the back of the drivers side headlight, that way the relay was close to the battery and lights, didnt need to run wire very far.
However if you want to run a switch you will need to run a wire through the firewall regardless,
