im going to try not sound like a c
unt...
but unless you can personally weld, hav an idea of manufacturing and access to a machine shop, and deep pockets...dont bother. you said in other thread you hav no idea about a lot of car things. you posted a thread about 'stretching tyres' thought the two words were pretty much self explanatory.
but, for your information, there'd be two ways to do it. One is an ok way, the other is a proper way.
1) buy and evo drivetrain and engine.
-buy said evo drivetrain/engine
-lock the box to rwd
-install PPGearboxes straight cut transfer case gears if you want the transfer case to last more then one clutch kick
-cut out lancer rear floor
-weld in evo rear
-custom tailshaft to suit your coupe
-install all the parts, wire it in etc etc
advantages being its all mitsu, all installed relatively easy
disadvantages: east/west motor trying to put down power north south. the transfer case is just one more point of failure
look at team orange: all north south converted evo's
2)
-cut away the floor, the rear end, the front end
-weld in silvia underbody/front end
-weld in evo rear floorpan
-utilise silvia drivetrain etc, hook it up to the evo rear diff
this echo was converted to RWD:
http://www.build-threads.com/build-thre ... ota-platz/
it uses all silvia gear. why? cause its cheap, common and heaps of adjustable arms.
also, look at the pics, no much echo left under there.
so answer this:
can you weld and hav access to a machine shop?
or
do you have deep pockets to pay someone to do it?
