Hey guys, saw this product while browsing through the internet. Was thinking to myself, would this be worth the $429? What is everyone elses opinion on this product.

The reviews on the website are good (of course they are), but I just want to know if this kind of product would actually be noticeable and worthwhile. Of course with having basic breathing mods, something like this will maximise the effectiveness of them, but would it actually prove any significant gains?

Opinions welcome, just need some advice! Cheers, Jake

it will definatly give noticeable gains, but to make the most of it you really need intake, exhaust, udp. apparently people in the states are pulling 170fwhp with this or so. which is a huge increase.

Yeah I have heard that this produces decent numbers and 170hpatw is very considerable seen as though stock is around 120hpatw. I am getting a k&n panel filter as a cold air intake is pointless unless your going for big numbers. I already have a catback and im thinking that it will stay that way. So I might take this mod into consideration and If I do go ahead with it, I will definately keep you guys updated.

This has been mentioned here before hit up the search button. I'm sure you'll find it.

^Actually we are having a conversation about it over here:

That is kinda wrong. It can be, but the code to enter Australian ECU's havent been broken yet (I still think this is unreal because all other ECUs around the world can be flashed through OpenPort -cable). We can actually flash almost every other Mitsu ECU made after 1990 but every generation has it's own tweaks.

My ECU has been reflashed to work with E85 Ethanol and I am almost convinced my ECU is the same as yours, but with some minor tweaks.

I sent a ECU to a gentleman in Canada who has had the ECU for nearly 18 months and while he says he can download and read but can not reflash successfully on the AUD ecu

^But ECU flashing is not done to the ecu, it is done by Subaru's and Mitsu's shared flash protocoll* (*i am not sure if this is the correct term). You can NOT access Mitsu or Subaru ECU without a flashing cable that has the correct identification chip (so that ECU recognizes you, of course this chip was only for Mitsu and Subaru aftermarket sales and maintenance use). The guys at Tactrix broke the chip and made possible for everyone to access the ECU.

On the oldest Mitsus you really have to change the flash chip to a read-write type because the OEM's are only read. But basically every car made after ~96 can be, and only can be flashed, through OpenPort -cables.

I know that for instance on Honda's older ECU's (OBD 0, 1 and 2) physically removing the EPROM and placing it on a Ostrich Moates reader is the easiest way. But that is not the way to enter Mitsu ECU.
