Radical_Ralliart’s Project

Little update; been gathering quite alot of parts to add onto the lancer.

I really liked the look of these ganador style side mirrors so i’m gonna paint them and get them on soon. New AEM Air/Fuel ratio gauge so i can see whats going on with the engine.

And recently got a set of 4 piston front brembo brake calipers from a 2016 VE commodore! Surprisingly these fit onto the lancer steering knuckle, i’ve got a whole other thread about installing them so i won’t talk about it much here.

Hello again, I’ve recently got my lancer dyno tested on a mainline hub dyno!

Wanted to see how much power its making with the few mods i’ve done

IMG_8874.jpegIMG_8862.jpegIMG_8864.jpeg

We hit 148.4 whp! With just over 200nm of torque too.

Wasn’t as much as i was expecting, but i’ve gotta say its at least a little more power than what a completely stock 4g69 can put to the ground. I can see im losing a bit of power up the top due to how rich the AFR is running past 4000rpm

Might contact alvin at off the clock motorsport about it, since i did get an ecu reflash done by him

Dope bro how long did your reflash take to come back to you, I’m doing a 4g69 swap into a cg(slightly lighter body) have been planning to send my ecu to rpw for a reflash too

finally got around to installing and wiring up my AEM Air/fuel ratio gauge, kit came with a bosch UEGO LSU4.9 wideband oxygen sensor.

So good being able to read the AFR’s at all times now.

So many parts to install lol

Also bought a tomei oil scraper windage tray for an evo 4-7 4g63. The Australian 4g69’s don’t have a windage tray at all so this’ll be a nice upgrade already.

I think the idea with this is that all the slots and ‘scraping edges’ is that it will cut oil from the crank sooner, reducing windage losses on the crank and theoretically increasing how fast the engine can rev up.

Its a nice though to get a horsepower gain from this but its more of an oil efficiency/safety thing

Also got some OEM Mitsubishi wheel nuts because i just can’t stop getting OEM sh*t lol

whats the seat kwolitee like?

im sure there more replica brides out there now than there is real ones...so they must be ok. ( i still dont trust them)

So i’ve been driving with the seat for a few days now, now don’t get me wrong it definitely feels a little cheap (given it was $600) like theres some exposed foam and the cushions are literally stuck on with velcro, not a fan but you get what you pay for.

As for the actual structural integrity, it actually feels quite sturdy, the welds on the brackets look solid. The seat does a good job of holding you in, I no longer get thrown around when i whip the lancer around corners anymore (despite my 100kg weight)

Theres enough bolts that make it hold strong on the seat rail. I will say its not the most comfortable seat even with the adjustability, i feel more of the road and the car now but i don’t mind it too much

Recently got a few things done with the car, so far i’ve;

- lowered the muffler so its not vibrating against the bumper

- replaced both front control arms with whiteline arms, and used brand new genuine mitsi bolts

- installed sound deadening under the carpet

- got around to fitting the new bride bucket seat, not a bad seat for the price

Tried uploading a photo of the control arms but the file is ‘too large for the server to process’, smh
Let me have a look in the site hosting settings. Its always been a problem for the site as even tiny increases up the hosting costs, but we had a new update recently that may change that

Edit; nope, sorry man. We're limited to about 4mb per file

It’s a bit cracked BUT - I upload to a place like imghost and get the source url once uploaded there. With the source url you can insert image via link here.

Imghost does the image hosting/storage, auslancer just points to it. No cost, no fuss. Just pray they dont go photobucket mode and unhost a bunch of stuff in the future

Also sick progress! How are you finding the whiteline arms? I’ve got the bushes, with castor adjustment (maxed out). Genuine arm/ball joint.

I find the bushes a little stiff, bit of grease every service keeps the noises away though

I use imgur to upload the photo. Then paste the link into the thread works well

Love the updates
How does the sound deadening work? Notice a difference?

So far i’m finding the new arms quite good, I’ve noticed the front wheels feel a little stiffer on the road and not as loose

I would say its reduced the cabin noise by about 8-10db, definitely noticeable decrease in road noise through the seats

I guess for whatever reason that particular photo was bigger than 4mb, weird bc normally my photos are 2.5mb or less
