Proton brake upgrades

How hard is it to add ABS from an M21 to a CC coupe?

I know the brakes them selves are pretty easy, the backs being a little harder but what about the ABS system?

don't bother you don't need abs!

but to do it you need every brake line the abs computer the abs control box m21 drive shafts and hubs it's just not worth the effort tbh.

i mean look at mine mikeys and robs coupes we all have gobs of power and no abs

Abs is nice to have, and I don't care what anyone says it will stop you faster than you can threshold brake.
That being said it's kind of on the same caliber as trying to add airbags to your car that doesn't have them stock. I just wouldn't bother. Go aftermarket brakes, brake booster, lines and wider wheels and it'll have better stopping power than a cc modded to have abs

If you want a complete ABS setup let me know, I know a fair few people with GSR and EVOs who have removed them from their car

Reason a lot of people remove ABS is mainly coz they don't have control of the system on the track or wet, theres plenty out there who like ir, i prefer no ABS, my daily iLoad and Challenger have ABS and its annoying when u go over a bump and the brakes start knocking and hard to stop, almost ran into the coupe a few times down my driveway

Not sure sure, the goal is the have the car GONE before the new year.

I've written more details in my ride thread.

As for the brakes, does anyone know where the ABS sensors are.

I'll take off the parts at the wheels, just not sure if it's worth taking out the ABS module and stuff.

I'd like to do a brake upgrade but might get new pads/discs at the same time... plus paint the brake calipers yellow ;)

Guess I'll need to notify my insurance company?
What about getting it certified.

Certified no. Insurance yes. Abs not worth it. Pads not worth it. Discs only if those m21 are warped

Abs sensors are on the hubs and the CV shafts.

if your doing rear disc brake upgrade you need to swap the handbrake cables over.

Dont bother with ABS. Your car will be off the road for longer then its worth retrofitting it. Dun listen to rigby Get new pads and rotors dont be a tight ass. You dont know how old they are.

I'd say the discs are original, it's only done 138k. My CC has 250k on the clock on the original discs.

My insurance is due in 3 months, not sure if I'd have them on by then. Few other jobs to come first.

I'll have to box the parts for now. But the brakes will be the last thing off the car as it will need to be rolled down to the road so it can be easily picked up when not rolling.

How the hell have you never replaced the discs? Id buy new regardless its like 150 bucks for basic *poo*.
