New (to me) car

Hey,
So I recently bought my mums old car off her, a 2002 mirage. So far I’m enjoying the older car. When I got it I changed a couple of things - removed the huge weather shields and updated the sound system, nothing special but it beats having only one speaker work and getting no reception through the head unit.

This is where my question comes in, I noticed that the left bottom side of the dash that houses the head unit doesn’t sit flush like the other corners. What can I do do fix this?

I’m sure I’ll have other questions but for now just reading other threads and pretending not to see money drain from my bank account

Hey mate, welcome, glad to hear you are beginning to play around with the car! if you're talking about the head unit surround, double check that the actual mounting screws and protrusions are all aligned as sometimes they can be fiddly. That being said, usually they don't line up properly on the corners and the bottom, even cars with the original setups will have this sadly.

Thanks for the reply. I’m waiting on cup holders so once I get that I’ll play around with the head unit surround

Welcome aboard, always good to see another Mirage owner. The CE scene has been an ocean of Lancer coupes lately. Start a ride thread for your build as you go.

Welcome to the Forum, plenty of info on here for Lancers, so should find what you need!
