Never posted anything on this before, only used it to read a few forums etc!
also, just giving you a heads up i know nothing about cars!
I have a 02 ce2 gli.
i live in SA, north adelaide.
Want to know what a good place would be to get my lancer lowered?
I don't want it lowered a lot, so can i just get lowered springs put in and leave it as it is?
another thing,It already has an upgraded exhaust and canon at the end, but is there anything i can do to give it a bit more noise?
My friends lancer has extractors installed and that made it sound insane! but not sure if i want to be looking at that mod.

Any decent suspension shop can lower it. If you want to go slightly lower go King springs as they are regarded as the most comfortable ones. There is low or super low. Depending on your shocks condition it may be a good idea to replace them too.

You can delete a resonator in your exhaust to get it louder, or fit a straight through muffler (if this isn't what you already have).
In my opinion though being a 4 cylinder engine you may get that raspy tinny sound which clearly sounds horrible
 
To answer last part of question
extractors are a mox that will make good power rather than noise
 
King spring low will lower about 20 mm and super lows will do about 45 mm
 
Alright thanks, shocks are fine so i guess i can upgrade them in the future if need be.
would it be cheaper if i were to provide the springs for them to install? and where can i buy these? supercheapauto etc?
also, is it worth getting extractors? my mate has a x-force or something set he'd sell me for 200$, worth it ?
 
See how much the workshop get the springs for and compare to ebay, or supercheap etc.
Keep in mind that changing shocks or springs is the same thing, so you can save on the cost of labor if you do it all in one go. At the same time check if any bushes need changing (considering the age of the car, most likely there is something worn out there).

I can't comment on the x-force extractors, but in general a well designed header system will net you gains in power
 
hello champ i would like to welcome you to the club and would also like to invite you to come for a cruise with me, sirlancrlot and electronix were pretty much the whole SA division and would love to have another person to cruise/ work on our cars with. as for your springs i just finished upgrading my king springs to coil overs and would be more than happy to install my king springs onto my old stock struts and install them into your car. also for noise i have a new SAAS pod filter sitting in my boot its not crayze good or anything its not damaged either but it will make a nice suck noise every time you give it some.

Where abouts in SA are you situated, and how much $$ do you want for the springs/pod ?
I'm over seas at the moment but i'm back in adelaide on the 4th of jan.

one more question, does anyone know good online sit to get the side mirrors? i need the drivers side as someone decided to throw rocks at my car and is now broken. all the mirrors i find are for ES lancer and 03 and above models.
 
surprisingly in all the wreckers i have been to they have already been taken or they have been damaged.
rather just buy a new one off ebay if anyone can assist me with which one will fit my car (02' ce2 GLI)

I'm in Edwards town. Electronix (kris) is about 15m away from me and sirlancerlot (Matt) is mawson lakes. I will also install everything for you and try show you what I know (witch isn't much lol) PM me with your phone number man I'll get the boys together and we can go for a cruise when you get back. Oh my names Danny by the way. Also as for the side mirror we can go do a wreckers run some time. I just recently did one as saw some side mirrors now that you menchion it.
 
Funny, Danny. Well welcome Marcel, im Mathew. I have never had any issues with ebay and finding parts, wreckers do the job if you put some work into things. I also buy some of my stuff from SSV (sydney special vehicles) and other recognized places, saying that they are a whole lot more expensive. I have a CG 4g94 tho, so i guess the car is a bit newer.

Will be good to all catch up one day!
 
Oh he's already sorted Matt lol. I sold him my king springs got them installed for $250 and then we took him to a rims shop got some rims he's got a nice setup now.
