While I have been a member for 2 or more years, I have not been active so I thought I better reintroduce myself and my car. I purchased a stock standard CC Coupe 1.8 2 years ago for $300 with terminal Lancer Cancer in the roof with the intention of teaching myself how to mod a car. I took it home did a running repair (cowboy job) on the roof, fixed a chip in the windscreen and put in a new slave cylinder all of which cost about $150.
I than proceeded to buy a business and move from North of Brissy to Northern NSW, For eight months my poor little CC sat neglected outside my sisters house, until finally I went down put some fresh fuel in her, gave her an oil change and fresh plugs (my car not my sister) and she started first go I then drove here straight to the mechanic and she passed rego with no probs.
For the last year I have had a ball flying around the ranges of the Tweed in my little CC with nary a problem and now I finally have the time to start my delayed project. Yes I am a noob and yes I am the worst kind (middle aged), I will accept any help offered, will search for any bargain and have no probs driving to brissy for it, where some of you legends are.
I think I am leaning towards dropping the 4g93 for a GSR engine and then going from there.
