Indicator & head light problems???Help

Hi There,
I have a Lancer 2007 CH.
Recently been having trouble with my idicator deciding to work when it feels like it and other times works percfectly.
In the last week my head lights have been starting to flicker and turn on and off while driving and then sometimes work perfect.
Im not sure what to do.
My Friend suggested i get a new stalk but im not sure?
I thought i would ask around and see if any other lancer owners are having the same issue.
I dont want spend millions and not fix the problem.
Appreciate the feeed back.
I am a female so going to a car place im likely to get ripped off.

Hi,

May be nothing, I had the same problem in my old R31 Skyline, they were reknown for this. The problem was a dirty main earth connection to the headlights, but it caused indicators and wipers to work at will. A good auto electrician should be able to pin point the cause.

I would say take it to an auto electrician
Unless u have time to go digging around behind the dash checking earth points

It sounds like the same problem i had working on a friends ce lancer, and problem was 1 earth we missed reconnecting
 
Actually this is a known problem with the CH easy fix is to replace it but dont go to Mitsubishi they want a same fortune for it several hundred... either look in the gumtree adds and find a car that is being wrecked/parted out and grab it... should only cost $30 odd or if you are really nice I know were there is a CH being wrecked here locally I could go pick the part and test it for you that it works and send it your way... for cost price and postage
 
yeah had the same problem. on the ch its the indicator stalk that messes up. so try and find a wrecked ch or even an indicator stalk on ebay and just replace it. all will be well :)
