ignition key light

So I have a cc lancer and I have a light that goes around the ignition barrel from a ce lancer I know it fits just woundering if anyone has done it and how to wire it up

Wire it up via the door switch so it only turns on with doors

Or wire it up with lights so it always on when ur lights are on
 
Or wire it in with a jaycar curtesy light kit that keeps it on for an amount of time then turns off an also be done with a capacitor
 
What happened to the world of simple mods lol

If ur goin to that extent then you may as well throw a relay to the dome light also
 
Theres no point to wire it up with replay, just hook it up with lights or doors lol

2 wires is all it takes, instead of stuffing around and making the wiring all a mess
 
But the point of the relay is so you can close and lock your door and still make it easier to find where the keep goes, cause lets face it the only time you really need it is at night in a dark car park, some place you want to get into the car ASAP, especially if you're alone.
