Feedback and Suggestions

Way to make me look like a liar haha

I didn't actually think I was going to be able to do it...so your information was correct at that point in time!

Not keen on the chat box.
It's just a haven for lazy people to ask questions instead of actually looking/using at the forum.

Are they newly signed up people or regular members doing that?? I can look at restricting the access of members until they have xx number of posts or xx weeks on the forum...

Although, in some ways they are probably the lazy people who would otherwise make a new thread, so perhaps it is better they aren't making new useless threads?

I agree with this, i feel like the chat box is better than a million new threads on the same topic
and if someone asks a question and you dont want to spoon feed them you can just say yes there is info on that but you will have to search the forum

Plus, the mods can delete any comments that shouldn't be there so if it's someone just being way too lazy then they can fix it!

The way I see it is, you either spoon feed them in chat or in a thread. Essentially shifting it from one place to the other. It appeared to me that while the chat box was down the bottom, the forum itself was getting more use than before and even now.
Asking a question in chat works if someone is on who can answer it, otherwise it'll sit for hours by that time the person has buggered off and won't see it again. Or your one off blow in doesn't bother returning anyway, so it's a waste of time.

All good though if you guys want to keep on like that.
I just believe it detracts from the rest of the forum.

I see your reasoning. I think the guys use it more as a way to chat at work than anything hahaha

Is there something I have missed when It
Comes to editing posts (especially in members rides section)? Edit button seems MIA?

(Even weirder cause I edited this?)

I changed some settings and the edit option goes away after a set time from posting it. Which forum sections do you normally edit posts in?

Paulie, can you please check something for me:

1) You should not be able to edit your above post
2) You can edit your posts in the Member's Ride section again

Hopefully the changes I have made should allow people to update posts under the Member's Rides and Trading Post sections now.

I can edit trading posts and not in general threads. Whats the time frame to edit a current post for typos etc?

@peregrine here's the answer to the question in the post you reported.
Please read the last 5-10 posts in this thread.

Thread was placed with good honest intent without any innuendos. However I'm still relatively new to the club and I now see I crossed a line that created an unwanted inflammatory response.
I therefore apologize and shall be more selective in the future. Sorry.

Thank you for keeping the forums alive considering its a dead social platform that is definatelly missed by so many :)
