Well if that were to happen, it would probably help having the model of the car in the title (even if just a quick mention) but the work to change it all now seems to be too much...
 
It would be almost doable if everyone had there model in there title. But like 1% do.

Grouping all the threads works well if people can be bothered to put things in the correct area. I still move things from ForSale > WanttoBuy and vice versa on like a weekly basis, and that itself is fairly straight forward.

We should start doing it, and if users dont change the title, the can get left in the default forum, which we'll rename Crapcars :twisted:
 
I like the seperation of models in Members rides idea too. Can you send all members a generic message to say, update thread title please ???? And as they get done, you can allocate them?
 
yeh, i reckon we have gotten to the stage where ride seperation is required (desired), heaps more members in, heaps more ride threads,
so put me down as a +1 for this idea

I might be inventing something now but is there any way to send an email in which you must choose one category (being what model your car falls under) and then it will automatically be sorted?

Looks like this wasn't a bad idea after all :) like Ces said, with some many people it would be good to have it, so us CG CH and CJ owners don't get lost in the CE, ohhh see what I did there ;)
 
I've made the relevant sections but I imagine it will take a few weeks to sort the threads out as people have been very lazy with their titles. In the meanwhile be patient if yours hasn't moved. If yours has been moved into the wrong sub-section flag/report it and leave a comment saying this and a moderate will sort it out.

Pretty sure that moving threads is a moderator based permission, not user based permission (in other words I have to assign everyone as mods and can only restrict it based on what forum it is in and not on who actually created the thread).

Also there is a sticker and lanyard in it for a couple people that want to help us out moving the threads. I will assign you temporary mod rights for the Members Ride section to move the threads.
 
Cause im a bit of a noob with it, is there a way to view/use the mini-chat box in Tapatalk at all?

not overly important suggestion, but is it possible for the chat box to be moved to the top end of the page like it was on the old forum setup?
i feel like its hiding away down the bottom not getting as much use as it used to

At this stage nope. Unfortunately xenforo doesn't allow it to be moved around (same with some other certain sections)
 
Yeah it was on my list of things I wanted to do but I was struggling to find out how to do it (without hacking the *poo* out of the template and making future upgrades problematic)! I have been struggling to find time to chip away at the list of improvements I wanted to make over the last couple months for various reasons....

But....I just found out a way to do it!

Not keen on the chat box.
It's just a haven for lazy people to ask questions instead of actually looking/using at the forum.
