Hey guys im not too good in this area, but i got a 98 lancer gli coupe. for a exhaust job.. so the whole thing being replaced. the standard one it comes with is preety *poo* tbh lol :D anyway thanks
 
ask NAlancer, he knows more about that *poo* then most, but what he will tell you will be expencive
 
Carline mufflers does a complete catback 2 1/4" is $320 no resonators just the one lukey muffler, sounds tough and has a nice bark to it.

Price may vary depending on the retailer. Thats a mild steel system BTW, press bent.

mm there is a carline store right next to my house, so i do just ask them for a complete catback 2 1/4, and yea i also meant for p's haha , thanks guys!
 
I'd go Catback 2" at most, with a decent quality muffler (Lukey/MAgnaflow/etc) with a hot dog (resonator), without the resonator you may find the car too loud but it's upto you.. You dont need 2.25" on a stock CE.

Edit: i called up Castle Hill Exhaust and Performance and they said $280, does that come with everything or is that just labour? haha and thats for a 2'' he said he wouldnt recomend anything bigger for a 1.5 l
 
Also just called up Carline mufflers, they said $300 for a 2''and it comes with the resonator andd its all custom made and he said they put a 3'' tip on it. which one sounds better guys?
 
I've heard Castle Hill are good. But dont go with their cheaper one, ask for a better quality muffler like a Lukey or Magnaflow!!

i went to castle hill exhaust too. 280$ got me a resonator (that ting's on high revs :evil: ) 2 inch piping from the CAT back to the muffler. the muffler put out a weird " huuuuhhhhh" sound as well as a soft/low exhaust tone. i didint like it, n got a 4 inch cannon slapped on the end of it, n now it sounds 100% better. the muffler n 3inch tip they gave me is still in a bag in the roof sumwhere haha.

they do the job well n clean, i didnt liek the sound though.

well the muffler man, if its a lukey it growls lol but i have a el cheapo muffler & no *poo* it sounds tuff as
