Droid Bodykit universal exhaust?

Hey guys this was the bodykit i was going to get but when i saw the rear bumper i couldnt get it because my exhaust is on the side and not in the middle but then today i found this same bodykit but the exhaust was off to the side and not in the middle like the original one i saw. check out pics let me know what you guys think.

still thinking of getting Vertex bodykit as its simple and not overkill. very cheap $700 for the whole kit. as i can get my priming and fitting down through family i just need to worry bout the painting price haha :p below are some shots of the vertex kit. :thumbup:

still wondering wether i should get some blue mesh for the front bar or just leave it
 
ok firstly if you get a droid kit i will e-slap the *poo* out of you, i have one and only now do i realise how ghastly it is,
black vertex imo wouldnt look too bad (thats lachys blue ce btw)

now as for the zaust its not a universal one
that first pic is the standard one, with a hole cut in the mesh
that second one would just be a dual tip muffler or 2x mufflers with bent pressed pipes so its in the center
on my kit, i just have a dump pipe aiming down so it sits hidden behind the bar

but be wary of these 'cheap' kits as there is generally a reason they are cheap, crappy molds lead to too much flex, easy breaking etc...
youre really only paying for what you get, cheap kit= unreliable, expensive kit = better quality/being ripped off :p
 
I'm not a fan of either. I actually quite like the stock or MR kit... though if I had to chose, def be the vertex kit, just because it looks a lot neater and less... driody I guess? You have a cannon right? So you'll fill the hole in the vertex quite well hehe :p

I have a blue car so im gonna leave it blue until i can afford to spray the whole car black lol which was my original plan. :p and yeh i know what you mean thats why i checked their ratings there bodykit site is called http://www.phatcustomkits.com.au/ i wish i could order seperate parts. On the droid kit those skirts are soo dam sexy! it would be awesome to just have the vertex bar the droid skirts and the vertex back bar. also do you know of any other sites as to where i can purchase bodykit parts online?

any help would be great

Hahaha yeh twin exhaust ftw. wish i didnt just get some exhaust that was cheap and my silencer plate has been welded in so that cant be removed spewing! :sick:
 
with mix/match just keep an eye on how things level out, cause i think the vertex rear bar would sit lower than the droid skirts

as for places to buy, we have fibre sports sponsor here, should be able to get a good deal,
other places might be:
carmate *cough*
ebay (sometimes there are good quality ones)
xracing (not sure if he is still around) oh and *cough*
ssv (bit expensive tho, not sure of quality)

oh and also take note of the cost of the kit then add, fitting, prime, paint
depending on where you go/quality you can be lookin around $1100 ( i think is an average price)
 
yeh seen that site to SSV soo expensive like one bar i was looking at was 960 im like yeh nah fk that. if i were to get the vertex kit i would have no issues with nothing sitting lower becuase its a kit it would all match up yeh?
 
yeh, if you were to get a full vertex kit (front sides rear) it will all line up perfectly,
but if you were to get a vertex front and droid sides for example, i think the front bar sits lower than the skirts
here is a pic of joshy with vertex front and MR sides (droid sides sit a little lower than them)
hopefully that will shed light on my rambles :p

lol, i think weve covered this lol droid = banishment
i think the front bar is the biggest killer, skirts *with droid bogged over) and rear bar arnt too bad
 
be prepared for a life time of insults with a driod kit...

and get your hands on some extra $$$ once your vertex kit is fitted cause it sits rediculously low in comparison to other kits. been there done that moved on. get an MR kit, they r simple n stylish. big body kits are over kill and everyone on the street will look at you n think your a tool.
 
Whatever you do, don't compromise because of exhaust... The fact is, your exhaust is cheaply and easily changed.

I bought a rear skirt, which had twin holes... luckily the OEM exhaust fitted, but that left one hole unused, which is unacceptable. So, I bought a twin. Simple.

If you need to save more, or organise more first, do that...get the kit that interests you (the bozos above just talk it up, but if you like the Droid, get it).

tryg is correct there actually. modifying an exhaust is alot cheaper then modiying a body kit. not sure that everyone who posted previously is guna like being called a bozo
 
so they are suposed to accecpt the fact that they are bozo's... because you said it, that makes it ok. sounds good man, you keep plodding along the way you are
