I don't think its carbon fibre wrap. I've seen it and it does look very similar to carbon fibre.DJG 90 said:I have the vrx model and the dash is already got carbon fibre wrap from factory I assume ?
I haven't been able to find a wrap to match the one that's already on the dash? Has anyone had much luck with matching it?
Yeah best bet is eBay. For a change you can get the glossy CF vinyl wrap instead of the plain CF. I was thinking about this but I cbf anymore after having done the dash like 4-5 times and power windows etc. to get them look like its from factory.DJG 90 said:Yeah I can't find anything that will match it. I guess I'll just get one that's close off eBay and if its close do it if not ill re do the dash.
Did you end up doing anymore on your car? Like around the ac controls ?
MazioBarditore said:I dunno if anybody else has tried it, but I managed to wrap the AC control/head unit panel. It was VERY difficult, and required a lot of heating up and smoothing out. Took about an hour to do the one panel. And then the result wasn't perfect, there were still a couple of small bumps/folds (not noticeable when in the car, unless you know where to look). As for the rings where the control dials are, I just heated it up and cut out a circle along the dip, then heated it again to smooth it out.

Mate that's a Stella job. Looks mint. What wrap did you use. I tried one off eBay but it was crap. Wasn't very sticky.

Also some say use water but other say no.
Have you trying any exterior work, like a bonnet?
Is it good to try on a small item first, something you can easily replace if you screw up?
I got some 3M 3D stuff off eBay which should look good when I get off my butt to start the work.
