Coupe Trim Interior Rattle

Hi guys,

I noticed in pretty much all coupe Lancers the interior trim rattles a lot, especially in the rear area.
Does anyone know what the cause of this is and if there is a way to get rid of it?

Thanks

silicone... alll..... the..... joins

but yeh, basically seal up any bits on the boot/chassy that look liek they could rattle, and if you want to go extreme, get some dynamat

yes thanks to the fantasic plastic trims to steel, you need to isolate the two with a few gumps of silicon etc.

Go to bunnings and buy a role or two of the foam tape. And put in anywhere the plastic touches the frame.

this is a good idea, better than silicone for sure

What about the little metal clips, do they not rattle themselves between the car and the trim?

I do not want to use dynamat

shouldnt be too much rattle there, but you can always put a dab of hot glue on the metal aligator clips and the plastic tabs and slide them back in the metal hole
