Hi All.
I have an 2010 CJ MY10 Lancer VR with just over 205,000 Km's on it and am looking at doing a major service on it shortly.
Regarding the in-line fuel filter, I remember at around 120000 km's the dealer's service centre said it was on the schedule to be replaced. I went to an independent mechanic instead, and have never had it replaced, as my local mechanic has said the he never changes them unless there is an issue.
Should this part be changed? Is it a lifetime part? Has anyone every changed it on their CJ lancer? Ringing up my new local Mitsubishi dealer, they quoted $280 for the part, though noted that no one has ever ordered the part from their dealership.
Cannot find a clear answer online.
Also, is the fuel filter located under the rear passenger seat, or is it actually in the fuel tank, as I have read mixed information online.
