CE performance parts list

good cheap gains

Pick one of those words haha

Cam regrind isnt a bad option, keeps that power up after the stocker drops off past 4-5k rpm, depending on your goals/regrind specs. Approx $400.
Big enough enough will help too, at least open it to a 2.25" system

The car is set up suspension and brakes wise.

So you have a rear sway bar, poly bushes, and a fatter front sway bar? That will knock cornering times down a fair bit, same with strut braces front and rear. 2.5" full exhaust, bigger cam, cold air intake, ported intake manifold, COP kit, and the list just starts getting mad exxy from here

Just king springs, sway bars and semi slicks with proton disc rear and magna front brakes, the main reason we are looking for a bit of extra power is for tailem bend later this year, the exhaust is getting redone with extractors and 2 1/4 with a ok muffler. Which would help.

Cam seams like a viable option for a little bit extra. It's a budget car so keeping costs down is key (missus will yell at me for spending to much on her race car)

Who have you guys got cam regrinds through? What specs etc?

Thanks, Jake.

I have noticed the power drops off around the 5-6k mark.

I achieved a 1.32 in it at mallala on the weekend with essentially a stock car with suspension mods. Didn't have the semi's on then. Would like to see how it would go with new exhaust and semis, would be nice to get into the 1.20,s some of that will be driver skill.

I went through CamTech in NSW (i sent it off, I'm based in Vic). Cam specs will depend on how you drive it, i.e my specs are for daily drive-ability.

To super oversimplify, more duration will push the power band up higher in the rev range, and more lift will be the amount of that power

This is pure track car so the more aggressive the better, although the specs will depend on the exhaust etc.
I understand lift duration as I am a qualified mechanic, although I work on motor bikes.

Not looking for mega gains. Was just wondering cheaper basic things that seam to give some improvements.

But yeah thanks!

Just the aggressive ones, my regrind has stock valve springs for the moment, so does donkis

I’ve been trying to find a decent exhaust for my CE but can’t seem to find any that aren’t just universal and need hangers welded on. Has anyone got direct links to either a cat back system or a muffler?

Hey Jiddles,

You won't find any bolt on exhaust and there is no such thing as a universal bolt on exhaust system not even just the cat back. Further to that considering the age of these cars you will be hard to find anything but stock replacements. It's often cheaper and better to just get a muffler/whole system welded up.

Hey guys

What's considered the go-to short shifter kit for the CE these days?

I see a number floating around ebay but wouldn't want to end up with a poor product!

Anyone got recommendations for future mods? At the moment i have a pod filter with intake pipe, catback exhaust system and slotted rotors and good pads. Not looking for anything to substantial, just some things that will help me chop other P platers. Ecu flash? Headers? Any recommendations are welcome

Lightweight pulley? can offer you a bit more oomph with decreased rotational mass. Headers/extractors are a solid upgrade for more torque/hp depending on the design. Aside from going crazy, there isn't a whole lot more you can do than what you've mentioned really. Handling is where these thing really shine. Rear swaybar and front and rear strut braces do wonders (I will never stop recommending them), even better with coilovers
