I have a 2001 ce lancer 1.8L manual that was been intermittently stopping whilst driving. I lose the engine, all dash lights and my indicators (hazards and headlights still work). At first, I thought it was the fuel pump going and changed it recently (along with the fuel filter). However, now the car is refusing to start at all. It cranks, but does not start and none of the dash lights show up when cranking. I did briefly get it to run by fiddling with the ECM relay under the fuel pump relay, but it quickly died after and the same trick does not work again. Neither relay clicks when I crank the engine, but I've taken them out and tested them so I know they are functional.
Does anyone have any ideas about what this could be?
