CC Lancer choke

Hi guys,
I'm new here to the forum. I have just picked up a '94 CC coupe, with a 4G15 carb engine. The main problem I have is that when it is cold it runs like a b@#&h, once warm it is fine. I know that other mitsubishi's run water controlled chokes, is this the same for the lancer? Is there any way to adjust the choke, or do I need to put a kit through the carbie?
Thanks
Michael

yes they run a water choke based on a wax pallet if im not mistaken. i'd just go grab another carb man aint worth rebuilding

on the right hand side of the carb(assuming its still on the engine and in the car) there is a lever arm connected to what appears to be a rod, that theres a bolt holding them together, that rod generally causes problems, i had the exact same problem with mine(im running the exact same motor at the moment) i got a carby rebuild kit into it and it was still doing it, underneath the air filter panel thing(w.e u wanna call it), inside the carby theres a rather large cylinder/plunger thingie, i noticed that with the original carb mine came with, when idle, that plunger thing would jump around, try reving the engine while the air filter is removed, if it sounds gutless, place ur thumb on the end of that cylinder as you rev it and push it back whilst reving, if it stops being gutless then the problem ur having is the spring that pushes that cylinder/plunger thing back and forth(that is most likely ur problem), if thats the case then a rebuild kit(costed me $78 from bursons) is what you need, best thing to do is go to a wrecker and grab a second hand one cuz chances are youll strip the head of the screws holding that barrel together(i did lol).
