CC Lancer Alternator issues

hi guys,
when I turn on my ignition to "On" position in my CC lancer, my battery light no longer comes on, once car starts, the battery does still charge. I have checked globe, and it is fine. Would anyone have an idea of what I should check?

do the CEL and the other lights come up aswell once the car is "on" but not running?

Check fuses in engine bay and under the drivers side dash

update, have replaced the alternator, checked fuses, even changed relay, no change. I get all usual light s on dash, except for alternator light, this is really starting to do my head in..... any ideas?

Battery?? Alt Belt??

all i can think of is a wiring issue on the triger input

If the car works fine ignore it

The main reason for the light is to provide a load for the field windings so that the alternator field fires up.
The field will still energise if you rev the engine a bit.
The light is more important on a higher capacity alternator because the field windings are different and take a bit to get started.
