back when i had a thermometer in my intake it used to get up to 70* on a hot day
 
I removed all the plastics under the car all the splash guards and this dropped the engine bay temps down quite dramaticlly - I would take car out and when I got back you could feel the heat cming thru the top of the bonnet... since I removed all the plastic splash guards you barely notice the temps any more much cooler - and now with the SRI I have you can put you hand on the pipe work and it is not even warm... maybe that is why I have 142hpatw :)
