Air Intake Sensor

Hi All,
I'm new to the sight and new to Lancer ownership. In the constant battle to retrieve my youth I have purchased a 93 GLXi Coupe with the 1.8 MPI SOHC 4G93, with the hope of teaching myself what is needed to do all the work myself.
I am about to put in a CAI and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it screws up the Air Flow Sensor or do I need to chip it. The plan is to follow it up with all new extraction from Manifold to Tip at a later date.
Any ideas would be great.
Cheers

if you keep the air flow sensor (maf) in the same position and undisturbed it should be fine. i'm running a k&n pod on the stock intake pipe with the maf and never had an issue

Yay another 93 GLXi Coupe!

Welcome, I have the some year and spec. Not added a pod filter as they don't help performance, but the do make it sound better.
Depending on where you live you might need to shield it to make it legal.

Cheers
I am changing the stock intake so I'm not to sure if the extra flow and cooler temp will mess with the fuel oxygen mix controlled by the sensor.
