Aftermarket Pedal Set

lol considering it is located in Japan. and he has sold 24 of them. I think the chances of someone here having 1 of 24 is very slim.

They should come with little tabs, you place the cover over your pedal. then screw through your pedal cover and into the tabs. making sure the tabs are clamping the cover to the pedal.

From what i can work out they have sold 24 on just ebay.com.au and 35 on ebay UK.

The tabs aren't for the accelerator, it doesn't use a cover system.

I bought a set from autobarn. They look cool, but are a pain in the backside. clutch one comes off far too often :/

Pretty sure they're not legal. (If that's a concern). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you need to have rubber on the pedals.

Really? Hmm I could see the reason in that. I have metal pedals and my foot slipped off the brake once but that's cuz I was heel toeing a bit too furiously :D

But what about the cars that come with metal pedals stock? I doubt cops would pick up on it anyway.

I have similar style but highend ones on my car and they work well, i wouldn't of wasted my money on em they where on there when i bought it. Id say stock is good enough them ones with the crappy straps clips on them are prob more trouble then there worth.
In saying that if you like em and there only a few dollars give em a go.

I think they have to have at least rubber inserts (so your foot is making contact with rubber) to meet ADR standards. I'm not an expert though. Rubber certainly is safer.

Aftermarket pedals are crap lol

They are too big and fall off after a while

if you want something a little different and are prepared to make some changes get the aftermarket ones and drill holes thru them into your actual pedal and bolt them in - then add 80 gritt sand paper to te surface glued on gives good grip and will not fall off - or just get new rubbers for your pedals

used to have some; took them off cos they are a pain in the arse and nobody looks down there anyway
+ they get dirty and need cleaning otherwise look sheet

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that they are illegal because you are not allowed to tamper with stock pedals, unless you replace the whole lot/ foot pedal part. covers are definitely illegal, unless they cannot come off (eg. Grip tape).
