Hi guys,

is it possible to put 4g93's crankshaft on 4g92's block, whithout any modifications ?

And whith some mods ?

Thx.

The 4G92 block is shorter so a 1.8 crank will not work. Your rods would end up being too short to make it work which is an undesirable thing.

will not worx

if you have a 92 engine just stick with that, they are worth far more than 93's. and they make more hp and rev higher (not the best for street but would make a nice track engine)

there are variations of the 4g92 just as there are for the 4g93, both come in either soch or doch but the 4g92 also came with mivec which makes it more desirable than the 4g93, it was built to compete against hondas B16B engine found in the civic SiR

Fixed

Not all 4G92's are MIVEC. There is a SOHC version as well which is obviously less desirable than the 4G93 which is a 1.8 rather than the smaller 1.6.
People have made hybrid motors up to 1.9L using a 93 short block
