4g69 Dohc conversion?

Hey guys was just wondering if there is a dohc conversion for the 4g69. If so what kind of gains would you expect. Thanks :)
 
there is and there isnt. you can drop an evo 9 head on the 4g69, but the cost involved in that is equivalent to dropping in a 4g63. and tbh that option doesnt yeild many gains unless you utilised the turbo aspect of the head and that would require more rupees. (i been playing zelda lol). there are plenty of people running turbos on the sohc head and its fine tbh. not worth the cost
 
You guys aware that it'd be either and expencive and time consuming swap
Fiddling with all the bugs

For 1 your looking an an evo head

Then you are either looking at having no mivec, or finding an evo 9miv head which are even more pricey

Then you are looking at making that mivec work on your engines ecu
Not to mention evo will have completely different cams

Not saying dont do it, just making you aware of more the full extent of how bigger job it it
 
Im thinking extractors, cai, udp, cams, injectors, maybe high compression pistons then a good tune with a standalone ecu.

Good 3-4k list ya got there. Would make good power though.
 
Yeah i was banking on around 3k. Was talking to an engine builder, he reckons anywhere from 150+kw atw
 
the swap can be done you can also look at a 4G64 head I believe that will bolt on... but you will still have to do too much work on the ecu and fuel system eg. make a return fuel line cable throttle body cam sensor cylinder crank wheel crank sensor, a stand alone ecu and tuning time possibly more stuf but cant think of them atm... just do basic mods to make the car a little more lively and get yourself another car as you weekend hero car.
