@gdub367 story time
It can be done, you might have the issue of kinda being scared to drive a turbo car on your P plated (if it’s modified), you might see a police or highway patrol car and start questioning things
Also being pulled over is Scary as all *fudge*, especially when they check under the rear at the exhaust and all 4 tyres.
Both are correct, insurance is ridiculously expensive and almost not worth it. It sometimes becomes a “chore” to carefully
drive a turbo lancer on your P plates
@SDate42 is correct, I have for the most part ran my car with a stock evo intake, (so no flutter atm) no BOV, 2 mufflers, cat converter and drive it like a stock 1.5l. (My lancer was originally that before I 4g93t swapped it) then give it some stick here and there, (but be very careful of this) I have no body kits, (stock mr kit technically) and the only stickers on the car is the auslancer.com one, and it looks stock AF, excluding the intercooler on the front
not have the car to low and scrapping is also a very good idea,
(track days are different, car is loud AF for those)
I speak from experience, 3 years on my P plates driving a turbo swapped lancer
Having a turbo lancer on P plates, for me Atleast was fun to race other people, but that’s about it, I still *poo* myself when a HP or police are near. Don’t get me started when I’m either behind one, or in front, that’s next level scary as *fudge*
