Window jammed open

Hey everyone,

On my way home from work tonight, my drivers side window wouldn't wind down past half way, stupidly, I forced it open but now it's completely jammed. It's a manual winder. I've taken the door card off to have a look (at 12:30am in the rain! grrrr) but couldn't pin point how it was stuck. Any advice on this would be great?

Check that the regulator is on the glass properly and that theres no obstruction to its path.
 
Alright, i reckon it is something to do with the regulator as the wire seems to have a fai fit of tension in it (stretching almost) but couldnt reach it in the dark. Do you know how to get to it?
 
There are screws on the window, 3 holding the regulator and a few down the bottom of the door. Undo them all and you can pull the regulator out.
 
Alright. I had a look today in the light, turns out a piece of plastic holding the regulator in has snapped off and not holding it on properly so the wire was over-tensioning. Probably just going to replace it.
 
haha, well I've left it all summer but after raiding several wreckers with no success I've ordered the reg and is set to arrive in about a month from JAPAN!!

is it a glxi? cause seriously man theres much easier ways to get a window reg for a cc lancer. i myself have a manual winder spare
 
nah, a gl. I searched all the wreckers and they were all glxis and wanted a lot of money for them. The part arrived the other day, so going to fit it tomorrow.

Didn't think of asking on here for one, but thanks for the offer.
