I have just bought a 2004 Lancer ES. At about 15 kph a whine starts in the front end. It gradually increases with speed (bad at about 50 kph) until it is not so noticeable at about 100 kph. With the car on stands I took speedo to 50 kph & the noise is just as bad. I tried it with one wheel turning, then the other wheel turning. The noise is the same. I cant isolate the noise with a stethoscope. The gearbox has plenty of oil. Does anyone have any suggestions?
