Whats the difference between CE and CEII

Hi guys,
i have a 4 door 1998 (July) lancer CEI and i was looking at a bodykit for a CEII, what are the differences between the CEI and the CEII as i cannot seem to spot any? and would i be able to fit the bodykit easily to my car?

CE 1, has a different boot and tail lights, and 2 piece headlights

CE 2 & 3, has 1 piece headlights, and a kinked boot and kinked tail lights

also front bumpers change depeding on series, some have circle foggie holes others have curved ones

some of the MR's had carbon bits in the interior, some didnt, it was sorta potluck


body kits will fit so long as u get the correct one for either coupe or sedan

keep in mind, Genuine EVO bumper will be for a sedan, you can get EVO's to suit the coupes, but they will all be fibreglass, and they definatley wont be genuine, which is what some ebayers will tell you.

also noted, i think the 2003 commonwealth games edition sedan is the only CE sedan (apart from evo) that came with front and rear power windows, i found that out in my journeys around the interwebs one day

i thought all MR's, no matter ce1 or ce2, had the carbon aircon surround.

also the ce2's have a different looking airbag steering wheel

some ce1's have the 1 piece headlights but still have the old boot and tail lights. like mine and mine is a 98 MR so i have the front lip as well which was more common from 99 onwards i believe?

iirc all CE2 GLXi sedans had power windows as well

Ce 1 and 2 have the exact same front bumpers and boots, difference is that ce 2 has 1 piece headlight and a different design tail light, ce 3 however has a kinked boot and kinked tail lights and also a more curved front bumper with a chrome grill
