Vibrations

Hey all,

Over the last say 4 months I've had a vibration develop more. I've replaced the tyres as I thought maby I had dying tyres and that didn't help so I changed pads and rotors I noticed when I put it back together the rotors didn't spin true they seamed to spin with a bit of in and out movement , I took the car to Bridgestone who put it up on the hoist and spun the tires diagnosed it with bent rims. However I don't feel so sure, I feel like hubs/bearing may also be the answer.

Does anyone think it's worth going to the wrecker and getting knuckles (replacing just the hub seams like a real nightmare of a job) and seeing if that smartens everything up

You can check your wheel bearing at home with a jack and a stand. I don’t usually love videos like this, but it’s explained really simply. How to test a wheel bearing. Watch that from about 1minute in, you really just want to do the actual checking of the bearing with the wheel off the ground.

If your rims were bent, I’d assume when you had the tyres fitted it wouldve been picked up then. If theyre bent, they shouldnt balance/it’ll be really obvious to someone trained.
