Vacuum thingy ID

Hi all,

Trying to identify the correct part name & usage for a vacuum type part on a 4G15 carby engine, you can see the part in question circled in blue in the attached photo, I have had the car a while but this thing has had the plug disconnected & bridged with a piece of wire? I would like to know whether I need it connected. Thanks

PM EVL20T mate. He knows his stuff. I don't know jack about carby CCs unfortunately
 
Stuff for all I know what that is lol

I rip the carbies out and toss in the dump, does it make a difference if its not bridged??

so you go EFI, that would require allot of mods & expense hey?
 
Buy a smashed efi cc lancer, Proton satria/m21 and use everything from that car into yours :D

Could pick 1 up for around 200 these days

Hell it's only a CC 4G15 rather put money towards an EVO. LOL Thanks for your help. Cheers :)
