Trouble Starting

Another reasonable probability, thanks guys much appreictaed, im just hoping its not soemthing internally major like compresison, but my dad laughed and said my car wouldnt even turn on full stop if that was the case, so hopefully its a *poo* battery or a leak in the fuel lines somewhere and that clunking noise is the starter which ill replace myself if its true

seriously u are all taking wild stabs in the dark here. mate do your self a favour and take it to a mechanic. As no offence to these guys trying to help, but u really don't have much if an idea. Josh probably has given the best advise so far.

I done a few tests on the car today, battery is fine, starter is fine, and ignition is fine. I can start the car first go without fail by turning to ignition for say 10 secs or then starting which leads me to believe theres a leak somewhere in the fuel lines and pressure needs some time to build up cause of this leak.

Personally, dont mean to offend anyone but i avoid mechanics, cause from past when i knew little about cars i got ripped off a lot and discovered a lot of the issues i had with past cars were easy fixes, so id prefer to do things myself unless its something internally major or electrical (i hate electrical work)

update to this, it ONLY ever happens when the car is cold and on a rainy day or after rain, very strange indeed, been told its a cold start sensor (not sure of actual name) from a guy at the exhaust shop (hakkan), told me it was happening to his suzuki swift, changed it and problem sorted

i have the same problem car cranks when its cold and i have to push in the accelerator to get it to start. if it has been started recently it will start first go with out using the pedal.
so if you do find a solution let me know.
