Towing capacity

Hey guys just wondering what the towing capacity for different lancers are. I really would like to find out if it can tow a car trailer or whether I'd have to buy something like a hilux or rodeo.
Also how much would a tow kit for a lancer ce cost

I had a quick look and couldn't find anything :)

well from my quick research

ce
braked - 750kg
non braked - 400kg - 450kg

CH
braked - 1000kg
non braked - 400kg

Cj
Braked - 1000kg
non braked - 550kg

these weights seemed the same between the 1.5 and 1.8l ce lancers (sedans and coupes)
as for the Cj's, the specs were taken from the mitsi website and stayed the same for the entire range, sports back, sedan and ralliart
so these might be off, but it should give a rough indication
 
na, they look pretty acurate to what i looked at ages ago when this was asked..

and thats providing your not low or on big rims :p
 
stock brakes on the CE's have a hard enuf time stopping themselves, i'd hate to tow something behind them

This ^. They barely grab enough with 2 passengers, let alone a car behind.

The numbers listed are correct, but id be very careful especially with a lancer as the tow car
 
wow you want to tow a car behind a fwd lancer? For starters it is highly dangerous that you would consider it. Buy a land cruiser if you want to tow a car.
