I have never had a crimp connector fail in 40 years (cheap fuses yes not crimp connectors) just make sure you use the right color code ones for the wire gauge (thickness), i always doubled my stripped wires over at the end and twist them before adding crimp connector (i also double crimp mine as well) making sure you had enough length (double check no stray copper wire strands of fine wire hang out anywhere, and give the wire a little pull to check its locked into connector ok, if you want to be sure, some nitto tape over the final job, or some heat shrink is good.
Most of the brand name kits now are all made in china anyway, i just get mine from supercheap/autobarn or repco (depands whats on special) i have an auto wire stripper but i never use it as i prefer the old manual ones, just as good once you know what you are doing.
