rear boot light ?

guys, i have a ce lancer 2000 coupe, i am buggered to find how on earth the light is supposed to come on when you open up the rear boot lid ? there are no visible on / off push switches like the side doors have. can you please help ?
 
It's a little white box at rear of boot mine was disconnected when I got my lancer just had to plug it in again. Give it a look over might even be the bulb
 
^^ if this doesn't fix it, the actual switch is connected to the boot locking mechanism, i don't know exactly how it works but i know that's where it is
 
thanks guys, i spotted the small black clip thingy thats mounted on the boot release unit. looks like its not in its correct position for some reason, i will remove this unit a see what i can do to get it working.
 
got the boot light working. the single earth wire was pulled out of its socket. one other question; i noticed there is another plug with 2 x wires fitted about a foot away from the boot light, what would this plug be for ? its a female type plug . thanks guys
 
i have the rear wing fitted [ stock MR ] and wing lights are working . this plug is just sitting there under boot lid .
