Rapid Battery Corrosion?

Hey all,

So if you read my poorly updated ride thread, you would know that I recently *fudge*ed up some stupid LED installs.

Now after this there is some corrosion around the middle of my battery, and it's only ever come up since then.

Just wondering if this is a problem, and if I should do anything immediately. Cheers.

take a pic and show us

this is my way to remove corrosion:
boil some water (you may need half a jug depending on how bad it is)
sprinkle some bicarb soda over the corrosion and pour the water over
untill all gone

so yeh thats how i do it

Yes a picture would be very good.

What exactly did you do when you wired up the LEDs and how/where did you wire the LEDs to? Also did you use a fuse?

is it actually corrosion? or just sulphate crystals (salt) forming? if its the latter, simple hot water will get rid of it. smearing some grease on it will stop it forming again. and i don't suggest you lick it to find out - post a pic.

Alright, I'll post a pic tomorrow.

It actually sounds like Sulphate Crystals now... I'm not to informative on batteries. (Or anything really )
