Sup guys.

So I got my new shocks and before I assemble them, just wondering how the top mount actually goes together on the stock shocks, (yes I could take mine apart but i need to pull them out and get springs compressors)

Basically, I want to know the order of the stuff that goes on this end. Feel free to MSPaint/Photoshop my picture.

res will know. he might even be able to recite it in his sleep i reckon lol

this is tru, i have only taken mine apart 20 or so times in the last few months

pretty much the thing jazza has there, but where that washer is there will be what looks like a splastic bush (which is actually a bearing)
grease the fk out of the bearing

i dont know how to put pillowtops on regular shocks, but that diagram should give u some ideas
so long as the top hat is supported by the bearing and rotates on the bearing

nd thats about all i can think of, there will be a bit of mucking around and brainstoring to get the 2 different parts to work together

Its just a washer between the spring perch and the top hat.

there should be a plastic looking bearing there too, otherwise it will just bind up when u turn the steering wheel, if there isnt then cc's are very wierd and defy breaking

Wouldn't that be the job of the bearing in the mount?

bearing is detatchable like a washer sitting between the spring seat and tophat on the CE ones, i assume the CC would be the same
its just not shown in the diagram, was just warning tron as it is a sperate part as far as i know

Ahhh, thanks res

For those who are wondering, Res got posted the wrong camber tops for his coils, and so to save posting them back to MY, i scored some Cambertops.

you can remove that bottom sleeve on the camber top if u need to
does it look like its doable?

yer i know you can remove that, i was thinkig i would just machine off that tail after the cone on the bottom part. so it sits nice and flat against it.

looks doable
