Lancer Rims Size?

Hey Everyone,
I Own a 2002 Lancer CG XR-X, all I know is it has 4 stud (Pretty Obvious) and that's the extent of my knowledge of stock.

I want to buy a new (New to me, second hand off gumtree) set of rims but don't know what size can fit on my little lancer? I will be lowering it too on King Springs Low or Super Low.
I want 17-18" with very low profile tyres but yeah don't know what will fit :)

Thanks to anyone that can give me a rough Idea as to what Size I can fit and what type I would need :D

Oh I forgot to add that my research has found that I could fit..

PCD : 4-100|Size : 18|Width : 7.5

Don't know if that is correct though :) thanks
 
I have an 04 CH which I believe has the same dimensions for the wheel arches as a CG

I have 17x7 rims, which I am very pleased with. Only one small problem though: on full lock the tyres rub against the inside of the wheel arches. I'm guessing having another half inch wider wheels would probably cause bigger problems there. So you probably don't want to go above 7 inch in width. As for diameter, you could probably go up to 18 with extremely low profile tyres and have no issues.
 
17x7 will be fine with lows, might need guards rolled on super lows. Same should be fine with 18x7 as long as you keep the same rolling diameter. Any wider and/or on super lows and you'll need some guard work (probably just rolling)
 
If thats the style you want get 18s. Anything smaller will look too small.
