ROOF TURRET

KBS RustSeal is a single-component, ready-to-use, high-solid content, moisture-curing urethane. These exceptional properties make RustSeal specifically formulated to stop and encapsulate existing rust and corrosion thus permanently protecting and sealing bare metal from moisture. This non-porous, flexible coating is incredibly tough and extremely resistant to abrasion and impact. RustSeal is highly surface tolerant and capable of adhering to almost any prepared substrate.

People with roof rust coming through the outside of the car this could be just what you are after! If your car starts to show early signs of roof rust (tiny orange dots or bubbles on the top of your roof) then immediately remove your headlining and treat it if you havent already done it beforehand. Dont leave it till the bubbles get bigger which would create holes too big for sealing.

The Rust Sealer kit comes in a 3-part 'Sampler pack' for only $28.00 and it should be enough to do your turret. Obviously you're gonna have to remove your headlining and seats and lay down a blanket and tarp when you do it, plus have a bucket of water and sponge handy. This is worth doing and it's affordable as it costs less than a tank of fuel!! :D

FUEL TANK

Gold Standard Fuel Tank Sealer, from the makers of KBS Coatings, is a superior, single-component, ready-to-use fuel tank sealer. Gold Standard Fuel Tank Sealer is specifically formulated to stop rust and corrosion by forming a tough, fuel impervious coating while simultaneously sealing small pinholes and weld seams. Use it in conjunction with our KBS AquaKlean (a water-based, heavy-duty, cleaner/degreaser) and KBS RustBlast (a powerful rust remover/metal etch) to obtain a permanently sealed, rust-free fuel tank. These KBS prep products are formulated with a unique Oxygen-Block Technology which reduces the occurrence of fl ash rust by over 80% and extends rust-free storage times by leaving a temporary protective coating in addition to a zinc phosphate film.

I stumbled on this stuff because my brothers tank has been sitting dormant almost empty now for 7 years and the little fuel that was left in it has caused the fuel pump cradle to corrode and the internals of the fuel tank to get minor surface rust. The tank is still mainly silver inside but has some hard dust like substance you can scrape off with your fingernail leaving silver underneath so it wasnt bad at all - nothing a good acid bath and coating wont fix (and cheaper and a longer term solution than buying another fuel tank) :D Lesson to all, if you have a car sitting dormant for a few months without a full tank of fuel or without some fuel stabilizer then corrosion has already commenced

Anyhow, the 100 litre fuel tank kit is enough to do 2 x Lancer fuel tanks, or one fuel tank and a couple of roof turrets I reckon and costs only $90.00 :D
