Hi All,
First post, wish I was joining on a light note... seems like a great community though.
Right, life story. Easter weekend, lent my car to my room mate while i'm away in Vanuatu and hes somehow set the alarm off (several times) and now my Mirage CE 4g15 is bricked. Whats worse is that the battery is almost out too. The FOB I gave him is a little dodgey (loose con) but usually fine.
I bought one of those port-a-jump emergency batteries from Caltex - thinking the car was dead after failing to jump start. I gave her some juice, turned the iginition to "ON" and I notice th Alarm LED flashing along with a clicking noise coming from the foot-well - my guess is immobilizer relays?!
Any ideas on my next port of call? Google said to leave the key in at "ON" for 1 hour to reset the system (currently trying this) - I don't really have high hopes.
Im guessing my next port of call is to disable it, any idea how I go about this?
Regards, happy Easter. Phil
