I'm in love...

for those of you who stick on the highways, go the GT-R....

My car has NO POWER but now has lots of good suspension and handling mods... coupled with better tyres, I think I would rather live in the corners...

1.61 vs 1.69 Gs in the turning test isn't what I'd call a clear cut win for the Skyline. The Skyline was screechin' its head off whereas the Evo seemed near silent, so wonder how hard the Evo was really being pushed. Hell even different tyres could make a mile of difference in terms of the cornering G-forces possible, so woulda been good to whack the same rubber and same drivers in both cars for that test...

But as you say Tryg, where's the the fun of high-speed driving on highways, give me an Evo X and a nice twisty road anyday!! At first I always used to think more power = better, but after seeing how well even a 2L family hack Lancer can wind through a twisty road with some cheapish yet effective suspension, tyre and brake upgrades I know realise that I'd rather go for a car that can hold speed through a corner rather than be a sheer straight line red-light warrior (aka Commodore lol)!
!

well said... I live in Commodore and Falcon bogan-central... hardly any decent ricers up here...but, I tell you I hung on to the back of a Maloo ute through some hell-twisty mountain climb road from Esk to Hampton (up the Great Dividing Range). The ute blasted past in the straight and the occupants were jeering at me on the way past...

I stuck to him like stink to $hit in the 60kph and lower turns, all his tyres screeching and mine nearly silent.. and at the top pulled up next to him and said;

'this is a two litre base model, yours looks like a waste of money...'

Fat lot of good his extra $40K did for him....

As Ryan said, blasting in straight line is too easy...

had a similar situation today Tryg.

P plate skyline driver revvin' at me at the lights. takes off, so i decide to play. he gets waaay infront, as soon as he comes to a somewhat straight roundabout... he slows right down, n i fly under him and was able to get infront. then he catches again, but by the time he does, he slows down for the next roundabout n i continue to jsut fly straight through.

was fun to see how fast they r ona straight, and not round bends.

careful one day you'll get too *wally*y and come off a round about when its raining and your still hung over from the night before while on your way to McDonald's..... oh wait that was me, my bad...

^haha, iv had the car slide allil round roundabouts when its raining.(not even going fast) not too enjoyable.

as tryg said i live in commodore-falcon bogan central. even my 1.5 gives them a good run on windy roads.
proved that a few times against certain mate of mine in a commodore ute.(which he has crashed now)
he always got me on the straight but up a windy road i leave him for dead.

and tryg there is some good ricers up here. just the cops pull them up everytime we take them out.

lol.. all you guys need a turbo. take em on the corners, take em on the straight ;)

the way the new engines are set up, they are much more advance than the old skool 4g63. i wouldn't be surprise if we see fq500s

anyways, some more pics for those too lazy to google.. i think if the sykryd lancer had a baby with an evo x, this would be their love child :p
