g93 to g93t

iv been wanting to know this for ages what do I have to do to make my sohc to a dohc w/turbo, iv been told I can use the non turbo block and get the head and bolt it straight on is this ture? And what does it take to swap it like parts and mods? And what am I looking at price wise?

Head swap + loom + ecu will give you a dohc 93 but low compression if you got the head from a g93t block. Otherwise drop the entire g93t engine in with loom and ecu and hook up all the turbo bits (oil/water lines, intercooler etc etc) and away you go.

Probs between 1000-1500 to have it running well, more if you do timing belt, water pump etc at the same time.

Also if you use the non-turbo block, you'll need a bung welded to the oil sump for the oil lines, plus a front brake upgrade to get it engineered.

my advice.

get complete 4g93t front cut
engine
ecu
loom
(gearbox is advisable but not required)
then go ahead about unbolting from one and putting in the other. simple as that.
once all bolted in sort your new intercooler piping (if using std gsr stuff it's quite simple)
get an exhaust made up
i then sugeest go and raid a proton m21 satria xls/gti for the fron AND rear brakes and do the bigger brakes
spend your $300 or so on engineering and be done with it.

If you want and can you could source:
•gsr 390cc injectors
•engine loom
•ecu
•standard gsr cooler piping and intercooler
•better fuel pump walbro-aeromotoive ect

and get a gentlemen called josh oakley to machine down a 93T cas to suit a sohc
So then you can run everything gsr on a sohc engine they already have lower compression
and have the same rods as the gsr so the only thing that may/will crack the *poo*s
is the head gasket.

If ur going to swap the entire engine, from a front cut. You may aswell go 63t same amount of work but oh so much nice.

That looks like a g93p. No turbo water return in the rad hose fitting and the oil feed appears to be missing

I've got a head suitable for swap but it's bare only got an intake mani for it

I bought that g93p needs heaps of parts for it now if anyone knows where a good place to buy proton parts from please let me know
