fuel guage

well im pritty sure my fuel gage is *fudge*ed some how , it was offset but then i filled the tank till it over flowed and then straight away took off the tacho cluster and re ajusted my fuel pin to fuel , but it hasnt moved in like 120kms , anyone know of anything i can do thats relitivly straight forward and like cheap

Try that guage in a mates lancer?

Lift your back seat up and expose your fuel sender, turn your ignition on and have a test light connected to earth, probe each wire looking at your gauge, if it fails to go up by earthing it out, you have a gauge issue, if it does go up you have a sender issue. Id say itll most likely be a gauge issue as lancers have problems with there clusters. I fixed 3 at work last week lol
