Foglight housing size CE2?

I am just curious as to the diameter of the stock bar's foglight housing of a CE 2001 coupe.

I would be able to measure it myself but I'm at a large disadvantage distance wise and I'd really like to have it all sorted before I go back so I can purchase the parts and have them there and waiting.

Cheers big ears

Cheers guys, and the wiring into the cabin may be difficult if my car doesn't come with the correct wiring looms and stuff? Or should it be pretty easy to get a hand off people on here?

Wiring up foggies will be reasonably easy to do. If you have ever done spot lights, then this is similar except you will take a signal from your park light to remain in the legal zone.

I can send you a diagram of how to go about it if you need or I am sure plenty of others can show

IIRC. Foglights are wired up to to just a fog light switch. Not the park lights. As they are to be turned on only in cases of bad weather. Its illegal to drive with foglights in weather that does not necessitate them.

Correct hence why there is a switch to turn them on or off.

They must be wired up so the fog lights can only operate with the light switch set on park lights or full lighting. They cannot be wired up so they are independent of the normal lighting system. Hence why tapping into the park light circuit for a signal wire is a common way of setting them up.

Also they cannot be on a switch that would turn on accidentally (e.g like the wiper stalk or indicator stalk/up/down movement)

You are also meant to have some sort of indicator light that shows the switch is on and fog lights are illuminated either on the dash or on the switch itself. Mitsubishi has a dash signal yeah?

Yes, the cluster i have (non tacho) shows seperate front and rear foglight symbols. (as well as ABS braking  )

The ABS light is a warning if it is not active or has a problem with it. There is also a handbrake light in case you leave it on like I did the other day

Have added a very basic diagram of how to wire up a set of foggies for Jaid0gz so I can keep OT. Its reasonably straight forward and the hardest part is running the wires so it is all tidy.

Thanks for the help guys, and cheers for the wiring diagram sixes.

How would I run the wiring for the switch into the cabin? I'm unaware of where there are wiring sleeves (apart from the door). Cheers.

Theres a giant hole in the firewall, on the passenger side. You gotta jam the wire in there. otherwise you can run the wire under the fender and through the door.
